Random chain of events. Also, I like technology.
What does your job role involve?
Development of contactless inspection technique using lasers. Also, being a part of the Sonomatic Integrity Team I assess pipe and vessel inspection data from an integrity perspective.
Can you give an insight into your working day at Sonomatic?
Some days are spent at the lab collecting inspection data using the laser, which is great fun. Other days I spend at home evaluating what I collected or helping out colleagues with their data from client jobs. It is always quite interactive, using different tools and bouncing off ideas within the team.
What is the best thing about being part of the Sonomatic Team?
People that I work with every day are a great bunch. Also, the new technology I was given to ‘play with’.
What accomplishment have you made at Sonomatic that you are proud of?
Development of a contactless inspection technique from scratch.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Spending time outside with my dogs.
