What led you to this career?
After working at the local authority for 18 years, I decided to make a move into the oil and gas industry and haven’t looked back.
What does your job role involve?
Organising logistics for our technicians mobilising to offshore and onshore projects. I work alongside subsea/topside project managers and engineering personnel, dealing with day to day administrative duties, including raising invoices.
Can you give an insight into your working day at Sonomatic?
Two days are never the same with logistics and can change constantly, so I need to be ready to book/cancel at very short notice. Once the technicians have mobilised, then it is organising the admin side of things, compiling supporting documentation ready for invoicing.
What is the best thing about being part of the Sonomatic Team?
The camaraderie, we are a very supportive bunch!
What accomplishment have you made at Sonomatic that you are proud of?
Training new starts and supporting them to settle into their new job. I managed to help the company make savings during the oil and gas downturn and reduce our spending costs in certain situations.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Days out with the family, long walks with the dog and catching up with friends.
