What led you to this career?
I’ve always been a ‘numbers guy’, my degree is in maths and I did a PhD in applied maths. When I graduated, I wanted to be involved in some form of data analysis. I joined Sonomatic as a data scientist and have progressed from there.
What does your job role involve?
I am involved in the bulk of the integrity work within Sonomatic. We do a lot of NII, data analytics and inspection planning and I work on and lead those projects.
Can you give an insight into your working day at Sonomatic?
The majority of my day is spent either working on projects or interacting with clients.
What is the best thing about being part of the Sonomatic Team?
I think everyone has said this one way or another: the people I work with. We’re a close-knit team that always support each other.
What accomplishment have you made at Sonomatic that you are proud of?
Co-authoring the most recent version of the NII recommended practice.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Spending time with my family. We’ve recently taken on a crazy dog so that’s occupying a lot of my spare time at the moment!
